It should be noted that this grants you access to the entire series of Walking Dead games, which is released episodically. The other big name on this list (for me) is The Walking Dead for 14.99. And 5 games for 9.99 sounds like a steal. Some of the games in the Indie Bundle look like fun particularly A Valley Without Wind.

I couldn't really recommend the game at full price, but for $12.49 you're easily going to get what you pay for if you like those sort of games It's a fun, goofy take on the GTA genre and most importantly, its heavily discounted. Of the games up on the list today, I've only played Saints Row 3 and can't recommend it highly enough. Mount & Blade with Fire and Sword for $2.49

It's a free to play game but if you end up playing you'll probably want the $5 pack they have on sale because it gives you a permanent 50% exp boost and a couple guns.

Planning out your flag capture route (and shutting down the enemies) is an art form. It's a primarily capture the flag game where everyone has a jet pack, and you can hold down space bar to turn off friction and "ski" down hills, which together let you go REALLY FUCKIN FAST. Oh and Tribes Ascend is my favorite FPS ever. They both have demos so try before ya buy if you like! Heard the servers are kinda crapping themselves from the overload of players atm though. Worth noting that you get two copies when you buy it, so you can give one to a buddy to play against or split the cost. I think of it as chess with guns, a cyberpunk theme and a neat soundtrack. It's turn based and you end up having to plan out moves very very carefully. It's like they made a game out of the Rainbow Six mission planner. It's a hack 'n slash tower defense mashup where the goal is killing hordes of orcs in hilarious and maybe even efficient ways! The main character is a dumb, smug asshole who's kinda like a cross between Zapp Brannigan and Bruce Campbell.įrozen Synapse is quite good too. Orcs Must Die is a really, really fun little game. Portal 2, Half Life 2, and Left 4 Dead 2. The voting options for the next Community Choice is a shot at one of three Valve games for 75% off. I've heard it wasn't that great, but the trailer for it looked amazing and for 10 dollars it might be worth the risk.Īlso, the Community Choice deal for the 4 hours or so is Plants v Zombies for $2.49. The one I'm considering buying today is Dead Island. and for $5 bucks is a cheap mistake if you don't enjoy it. Not much on story, but I've somehow logged a ridiculous amount of time playing it. It's sort of a First Person Shooter take on the Diablo model of 'loot and level' gameplay. I love this game and have played the hell out of it. If you've been waiting to buy it, now is probably the time.Ī personal favorite on today's deals is Borderlands. Chances are you aren't going to find a better price for it until they start discounting the regular sale price or start offering a bundle with DLC. If you can't tell from the bold up there, the big news today is the Skyrim deal. Two World II (bit of an awkward name) for 75% off It's a really fun old school dungeon crawler. I barely even regret buying it at full price.Īs for my own purchases, I picked up Legend of Grimrock today. Saint's Row 3 is ridiculous and ridiculously fun. If you haven't picked up Portal 2 yet, there is no time like the present! The game is fantastic and fun. The voting options for the next Community Choice are Limbo, Trine 2 and Magicka all for 75% off.įeel free to chime in with your personal recommendations! I heartily recommend Terraria, which is like a mix between Minecraft and Metroid/Castelvania games. At the time of posting this, the current Community Choice is Saint's Row 3 for 75% off. It's a discount that is driven by Steam community voting and changes every 8 hours. Indie Bundle 1 75% off (5 indie games for $9.99)Ī new feature this year is the Community Choice. Might and Magic Heroes VI franchise 50% off
